And once again it was time for the traditional Maibock tapping at the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl. Strong beer, politics, drama and satire. Nothing was missing at our annual event.

So everyone who has a name and a reputation in Munich and Bavaria was there again when the Bavarian Minister of Finance and the brewery director of Hofbräu Munich invited to the Hofbräuhaus Festsaal.

On Wednesday, 04/30/2019 at 6 pm it was the time again: More than 600 guests filled the hall. Among them were Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder, Prince Leopold of Bavaria, Jutta Speidel, Senta Auth, Paul Breitner, Timothy Peach, Lola Paltinger, and many more, some of whom took over the chapel without further ado (see picture).

This time host and Bavarian Finance Minister Albert Füracker skillfully tapped the Maibock barrel with only two strokes! The speeches of him and Dr. Michael Möller got the audience once again in a good mood.

The Bavarian-Turkish cabaret artist Ugur Bagislayici, better known as "Django Asül", was once again responsible for the "Derblecken", the political satire on the politicians present. His all-round strike in all political directions convinced with subtle wit and open rebuke at the highest cabaret level.

And then the Maibock flowed into the late evening hours. The kitchen of the Hofbräuhaus took care of the physical well-being of the guests.

By the way, Bavarian television has been broadcasting the Maibock tapping on the same evening with a time delay since 2009 and repeats are also broadcasted.
