Hofbräu München open its doors to interested visitors. Every week we provide guided tours of the traditional Munich brewery, complete with informative and enjoyable glimpses behind the scenes.
The tours start out at the „Bierstüberl“, and lead you through the brewing processes at Hofbräu München from the raw ingredients to the finished product, taking in various stations on the way, such as the brewhouse, the fermenting room, the conditioning tanks and the filling lines. During the tour you are invited to sample freshly tapped unfiltered beer in the fermenting room and also have the opportunity to enjoy a hearty Bavarian ploughman's lunch.
How to take part: Registration in advance is essential!
We ask at least to timely appointment (14 days in advance)! The tours of the brewery start at the Hofbräu „Bierstüberl“, at Hofbräuallee 1 in eastern Munich's Riem district. When you arrive, check in with the doorkeeper to receive your visitors pass. Sufficient parking space is available on the brewery grounds.
Guided tours in German or English:
By appointment only, Monday – Thursday at 10 am.
Guided tours on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are generally not possible!
Before and during the Oktoberfest the brewery tours do not take place. We ask for your understanding.
Group size per guided tour:
Between ten (at least) and 30 persons (at the most).
Length of the brewery tour:
The tour lasts between 60 and 90 minutes (without Bavarian ploughman's lunch).
Children over sixteen and adults, not incl. a snack:
€10 per person
Children over sixteen and adults, incl. a snack:
€15 per person
Note of safety
Brewery tours for people less than 16 years are not possible basically. Also children can enter for safety reasons neither the brewery area, nor take part in the brewery tours.
Be sure to wear appropriate shoes (closed and with an solid sole). Visitors with open shoes (sandals or flip-flops, high heels, ballet flats, etc.) can not participate the tour for safety reasons!
