Take a glimpse over our brewers' shoulders. Breathe in the intense aroma of the wort. Taste a freshly tapped Hofbräu beer directly from the beer tank. If you want to get up close to the brewing artistry of Hofbräu Munich, book a tour of our traditional brewery:

Participants will learn interesting facts about our beer and its production, experience the raw materials of brewing, visit the brewhouse and fermentation cellar, and learn how bottling and storage work. After the tour, we offer participants the opportunity to enjoy a hearty Bavarian snack with Leberkäse or Weisswurst in the beer lounge. To ensure we can fully cater to our visitors and their individual needs, prior registration for the brewery tour is required.

  • By appointment, Monday – Thursday at 10:00 AM with a snack afterwards, and Monday to Thursday at 1:00 PM without a snack.
  • Tours on Fridays, weekends, or holidays are generally not possible.
  • Individual registrations are possible, but brewery tours only take place with a minimum of 10 registered participants.
  • The brewery tour starts at the beer lounge of Hofbräu Munich, Hofbräuallee 1, Munich Riem. Please check in at the gate where you will receive your visitor pass. Parking is available on the brewery premises.

Participation in our brewery tours is generally only permitted from the age of 16. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to enter the brewery premises even when accompanied by their parents. It is important to wear appropriate footwear during the tours. Closed shoes with firm soles are required for the production area – sandals, flip-flops, ballet flats, and similar footwear are not allowed.
Unfortunately, the brewery tour is not barrier-free.

Where does the brewery tour take place?

The brewery tour takes place at the Hofbräu München brewery at Hofbräuallee 1, 81829 München-Riem.

When do the brewery tours take place?

Brewery tours take place from Monday to Thursday at 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM exclusively by prior registration and confirmation. Tours with a snack are generally only possible at 10:00 AM. Tours in the afternoon, evening, on Fridays, weekends, or holidays are unfortunately not possible.

In which languages are brewery tours at Hofbräu Munich offered?

We offer tours in German and English. If needed, you can bring your own translator for additional languages. Please indicate this in your registration so that we can plan the tour accordingly.

How many people can participate in brewery tours?

Our tours are available for groups of 10 to 30 people. Group registrations of 10 or more people will be confirmed immediately if the desired date is still available. Individual registrations are also possible but will only be confirmed once a group size of at least 10 people is reached for the desired date.

What options are available for groups of more than 30 people?

For groups larger than 30 people, we divide the participants into two consecutive tours. Simultaneous tours and snacks cannot be offered in this case.

Is there an option to add a snack to the 1:00 PM tour?

A brewery tour with a snack afterwards is only possible at 10:00 AM.

Is there a beer tasting included in the brewery tour?

During our tours, every visitor can taste our beer directly from the fermentation tank. When booking a tour with a snack, a beer (0.5l of Helles or Weissbier) or a non-alcoholic beverage (0.5l of water or apple spritzer) is included with the snack in the beer lounge.

Is it possible to book additional rooms for conferences/seminars after the brewery tour?

Is it possible to combine the brewery tour with a brewing course?

Currently, we do not offer brewing courses.

Are brewery tours at Hofbräu Munich accessible?

You will be visiting the brewery during ongoing operations; therefore, we cannot ensure accessibility.

What snacks are offered during the brewery tour?

When booking a brewery tour with a snack, the following three dishes are available:
• Two Weisswursts with a pretzel and a drink (0.5l)
• A portion of Leberkäse with a pretzel and a drink (0.5l)
• Salad with a pretzel and a drink (0.5l) (vegetarian)
Please choose your preferred dish when booking so that we can order the food from the employee canteen in advance. There is no restaurant on the brewery premises.

Do brewery tours take place during Oktoberfest?

During Oktoberfest, we receive numerous national and international partners at the brewery, so our brewery tour capacities are particularly limited during this period.

Can you add yourself to an existing brewery tour on short notice (within 14 days)?

Our registration form requires a lead time of 14 days for booking. For short-term booking requests, please contact our reception by phone (Phone: +49 (0) 89 / 92105-0).
