Dark, Smooth, and Aromatic in Flavor
Our Hofbräu Schwarze Weisse is a dark, mahogany-colored wheat beer with a robust cloudiness. In the glass, it develops a stable, fine-creamy foam head and has a banana-like aroma with a spicy clove note. This sparkling, effervescent wheat beer (5.1% ABV) delights the palate with banana flavors, a subtle caramel sweetness, light roasted notes, and a hint of forest honey and plum.
Fans of the dark wheat beer variant enjoy the Schwarze Weisse from a half-liter wheat beer glass with snacks (rye bread + ham), game dishes, roast pork / pork knuckles, spicy Asian dishes, aged hard cheeses, and chocolate desserts. To avoid glass breakage, it’s customary to tap the wheat beer glass on the thick bottom of the glass. Cheers!
