Dark, Smooth, and Aromatic in Flavor
Our Hofbräu Schwarze Weisse is a dark, mahogany-colored Hefeweissbier with a robust cloudiness. In the glass, it develops a stable, fine-creamy foam head and has a banana-like aroma with a spicy clove note. This sparkling, effervescent Weissbier (5.1% ABV) delights the palate with banana flavors, a subtle caramel sweetness, light roasted notes, and a hint of forest honey and plum.
Fans of the dark Weissbier variant enjoy the Schwarze Weisse from a half-liter Weissbier glass with snacks (rye bread + ham), game dishes, roast pork / pork knuckles, spicy Asian dishes, aged hard cheeses, and chocolate desserts. To avoid glass breakage, it’s customary to tap the Weissbier glass on the thick bottom of the glass. Cheers!
