Sommerzwickl
The naturally cloudy summer specialty

Our refreshing Sommerzwickl is the classic beer garden choice for hot summer days. Brewed according to a traditional bottom-fermentation recipe, this beer still contains all its suspended and cloudy particles. This gives it its particularly full-bodied, spicy flavor – just like freshly tapped from the brewery's fermentation tank.

The Taste of Summer
Our honey-yellow Hofbräu Sommerzwickl is an unfiltered pale lager. It develops a fruity, subtly malty aroma of clementine, grapefruit, apple, almond, and milk bread on the nose. Waffles and licorice add a light roasted aroma, which harmonizes well with the balanced sweet-and-sour notes.
With its finely sparkling zest, it is the perfect summer beer and pairs excellently with beer garden snacks, roast chicken, roast pork, grilled fish, or grilled sausages in the backyard. As a seasonal specialty, this Kellerbier is available from the end of April to the end of July.
