Beer Enjoyment in Many Variants
For those who value quality, regionality, and sustainability in their beer enjoyment, Hofbräu München always offers the right choice. Whether bottom-fermented, top-fermented, filtered or unfiltered, light or strong beer – our brewers use only the finest local ingredients, brew strictly according to the purity law, and let all beers mature through cold fermentation. This results in numerous beer specialties that guarantee authentic Bavarian beer tradition – whether as a refreshing summer thirst-quencher in the beer garden, a hearty companion to Bavarian cuisine, or a non-alcoholic option after sports.
Light Beers
They are the epitome of Bavarian lifestyle and have been among the most popular varieties for locals and visitors alike for years. With their bright golden-yellow color and snow-white, fine-pored foam, they not only crown the beer gardens of the Free State but also carry the Bavarian way of life far beyond the borders into the world.
Dark Beers
Until the end of the 19th century, they were the most consumed varieties. The original type of Bavarian beer with its roasted malty, hoppy flavor is still very popular today. Especially in the autumn and winter, when one enjoys heartier food and a matching, maltier beer due to the colder temperatures.
Wheat Beers
For nearly 200 years, Hofbräuhaus in Munich held the monopoly on wheat beer, and this knowledge advantage is still evident today. Hofbräu wheat beers are brewed with wheat and contain more carbonation than other beers, making them a particularly fruity, fresh, and effervescent beer experience.
Seasonal Specialties
Beer tastes great any time of year, but for special occasions, a unique specialty is always welcome. Whether it’s Hofbräu Maibock, Munich's oldest bock beer, after Lent, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier for the world’s largest folk festival, or our own summer and winter specialties: with Hofbräu, beer enjoyment is always in season.
Non-Alcoholic & Light Beers
Whether during sports, at work, or while driving: Hofbräu’s non-alcoholic and light beers offer a welcome change. Thanks to particularly gentle brewing methods, these varieties retain all their valuable ingredients and, of course, the full beer flavor. This way, you only forgo alcohol, never enjoyment.
