Our New Keg Filling System Begins Operation
With the new keg filling system, we have taken a significant step towards innovation without neglecting our traditional values.
The replacement became ultimately unavoidable. Capacity bottlenecks, unavailable spare parts, and production stoppages made keg filling increasingly difficult. As a result, we invested a proud €6.6 million from our own funds to secure the future of our beers.
Record-Breaking Setup
“Bye bye Baby” was the sentiment on January 25th when our old keg system had its final run, with a musical send-off in an Instagram story as it was retired.
After that, the system was dismantled at record speed, the floor was refurbished, and the new system was installed. Customer deliveries were ensured at all times through a pre-filled inventory, before the new system was officially inaugurated on March 20, 2024, by Brewery Director Dr. Michael Möller and State Minister Albert Füracker.
Washing, Filling, Stacking – Up to 500 Times per Hour
The new keg system, manufactured by the renowned company Albert Frey from the Allgäu region, marks a milestone in our brewery's history.
It combines traditional brewing craftsmanship, in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law, with the latest technology. This allows us not only to increase the filling capacity to up to 500 kegs per hour but also to reduce resource consumption at the same time.
Efficient and Environmentally Friendly
Less water and energy consumption for a better environment. In the spirit of sustainability, CO2 emissions are reduced by about 50%, while water consumption is decreased by an impressive two-thirds. This increase in efficiency benefits not only the environment but also the brewery itself, as we require significantly fewer resources.
Overall, the new keg filling system is not just a technological upgrade but also a commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability. It represents the successful fusion of tradition and innovation, which is the foundation for the continued popularity and success of our beers.
